Training Evaluating and Mentoring (TEAM) Program

The purpose of the TEAM program is to help Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) participants make the transition from welfare-to-work. OIC offers the TEAM program to help TANF recipients develop employability skills and work experience that will lead to gainful employment. It is a four to six week program at a designated worksite.

Participants can expect:

  • Training and experience needed for a particular job or career
  • A chance to prove skills and work ethic through performance on the training site, rather than past the work history
  • Opportunity to market themselves to a company or career field of interest
  • Training in the medical, manufacturing, clerical or service field (new training sites are continuously developed in a variety of career fields)

Upon successful completion of the program, partnering worksites can offer jobs to those receiving cash assistance at their worksite.
